Longqingxia Ice Lanterns
Longqingxia is cold in winter and has a long icing period. By taking advantage of this unique natural condition, Longqingxia has held the Ice Lantern Art Festival since 1987. Longqingxia Ice Lantern Art Exhibition has become a traditional feature of winter tourism in the capital. The ice lantern pavilion is located at the foot of giant dam of the ancient city’s reservoir and in a gorge. Huge icicles formed by water naturally leaking from the two mountains constitute a rare icefall spectacle, which is the best natural background of the ice lantern exhibition area. Exquisitely carved ice lanterns, colorful festive lanterns and ice sculptures as white as polished jade offer a magnificent ice and snow feast for Chinese and foreign tourists.

Ice Rink
The ice rink of Xiadu Park has opened an ice wagon zone, a sledge zone and a skating zone. Drive ice wagons, ride sledges, recall unlimited childhood fun, speed around the rink to enjoy speed and passion.

Mountain Skiing
Shijinglong Ski Resort is located in Zhangshanying Town, Yanqing County. The advanced ski run is 1,040 meters long and 80 meters wide, has a vertical drop of 300 meters, an average slope of 28 degrees and a maximum slope of 30 degrees and is equipped with 4-seater gondola lifts; the intermediate ski run is more than 800 meters long and has a drop of 135 meters and a maximum slope of 23 degrees; the beginner ski run is more than 3,000 meters long and has an average slope of 2-4 degrees.
Badaling Ski Resort is located in Badaling Town, Yanqing County and has three ski runs with different levels of difficulty, a 3,000m2 ski teaching area, two 800m long beginner ski runs, one 600m long intermediate ski run and one 300m long flying-saucer ski run.

Ice and Snow Paradise
inglong Ski Resort has the five recreational areas of snowboarding park, ice rink, snow spa, snowmobile and sledge and offers dozens of ice and snow creational items including snowboarding, ice wagon, spa bath, snow quad biking, dog sledding, snow football, non-powered sledge, snow bowling, alpine snow circle and snow circle surfing.

Health Spa
The Bihai Qionggong Spa of Shengshiyuan Hotspring Hotel is paved all over with Liaoning Xiuyan jade. It is a cave-style pseudoclassic leisure water park and is divided into a spa water play area and a health preservation and recreation area. It offers a variety of spa therapies including Tibetan medicine bath, air bubble bath and vertical waterfall bath.
